\chapter{Doc Converting}
\section{PDF to HTML}
\bigskip
\href{https://pdf.abbyy.com/}{ABBYY fine reader} is the best pdf to word doc converter, then I save it as a HTML, then drag and drop into the little upload box underneath the text box when creating a new text.
And you can always get the program for free through those jolly sailor friends.
\bigskip
\section{Converting EPUBs to Doc}
I drag and drop the file onto the website \href{https://convertio.co}{Convertio} then save the file as a HTML in word.
\bigskip
\section{Other tips}
If I upload a book to the website and it gets the heading levels wrong, I copy paste it into a spreadsheet column, create a column of numbers to the left, then sort both by the text on the right and look for all the heading text beginning with ** which makes it easier to fix, seeing all the headings together.
\bigskip
\section{Quote Indents}
This one takes a long time, but if you have a lot of books you want to bulk upload perfectly with quote indents, you can do them this way and all at the same time so it's worth it:
So if I have the document open in LibreOffice, I hit File -> Export -> and chose MediaWiki format in the 'Save as' drop down menu.
Then I open up the new file and copy paste it back into an office word document. All the indents will look something like this: "
and<\Slash{}quote> . Then replace single line quotes into block quotes by doing find and replace "<\Slash{}quote>\^{}p\^{}p" with simply "\^{}p\^{}p". \bigskip \hairline \chapter{Requesting Uni Scans} Here's the guide for requesting documents from Michigan Uni. There are long critiques and disclaimers added to some texts and we aim to add more. When collecting together research on misanthropic groups and projects, we simply title the text ‘a text dump on \_\_\_\_\_\_’. That way for example we don’t dignify fictional stories terror groups weave when they write their own press releases and title them as communiqués. Anyone can join the debate over which texts should go up on the website, obviously if you join just to troll or spam though, you will be removed. \href{https://www.thetedkarchive.com/special/rejected-texts}{A record will be kept} of all texts that were rejected, whether for minor formatting reasons or deeply held political reasons. A record will also be kept of controversial texts that were approved, where for example there was a sizable disagreement. Ideally, in the future we will have popular sorting mechanisms directly under the main search box, such as a check box for 'only anarchist texts' that would exclude texts labelled 'not anarchist'. % begin final page \clearpage % new page for the colophon \thispagestyle{empty} \begin{center} \smallskip A critique of his ideas \& actions. \bigskip \includegraphics[width=0.25\textwidth]{tedk.pdf} \bigskip \end{center} \strut \vfill \begin{center} Various How to Improve This Project \bigskip \bigskip \textbf{www.thetedkarchive.com} \end{center} % end final page with colophon % end closing pages \end{document} % No format ID passed.
